5th graders learned about the conditions at Valley Forge for the Patriot Army during the Revolutionary War. Students attempted to make shoes, since one-fifth of the soldiers didn't have any shoes during the winter of 1777. Students also taste tested fire cakes, which is a mixture of flour and water, since food was scarce at Valley Forge!

🎉 The PPG Fun Run has officially come to a close, and we’re beyond excited to share that we raised an incredible $33,638.95 — WOW!
Thanks to the generosity and support of our amazing community, we exceeded our fundraising goal and made this event one to remember. From every donation to every cheer — we are so grateful!
The kids had an absolute blast running their laps, smiling from start to finish. It was truly a day full of fun, energy, and community spirit.
Thank you all for making it such a huge success! 💙

Tonight's softball games against Amery and baseball games against New Richmond have been cancelled due to the weather and field conditions. We will communicate any potential make up dates when we have them.

SCC Freshmen enjoyed doing their part this week during their Community Service Day. The work they were tasked with included cleaning up beach and camping areas, picking rocks, hauling brush and raking, to name just a few.
60 students worked at Glen Hills County Park
40 students worked at Willow River State Park
20 students worked at Heartland Park in Hammond
7 students worked at the Hammond Town Hall
Great work and thank you to our students for helping out in the community!

Thanks to your amazing donations, we officially taped Gru & Vector to the wall - And they're still stuck up there! You brought the energy, raised the money and turned two villains into wall decorations! Our students were so excited to head out to the fun run! More pictures coming soon!

Today we would like to recognize our school lunch heroes, our caring and dedicated food service staff! Between preparing healthy meals, adhering to strict nutrition standards, navigating student allergies, and doing it all with a smile, our food service professionals are true heroes in our schools. Thank you for your commitment and dedication to our students and schools!
