Congratulations to Simon Herink, Makaila Holldorf, and Baylee Jewell for completing their Youth Apprenticeship programs. Simon earned certification in the Marketing Cluster, Baylee earned her certification as a Nursing Assistant, and Makaila earned her certification in the Architecture and Construction field.

Congratulations to Tanner Davis for completing the Automotive Technician Youth Apprenticeship Program. Tanner took 2 small engines to help prepare him for work in this field and Amery Chevrolet served as his employer mentor for the program.

Thank you to Schuggy's and Barnboard for providing mentorship for Jayden Gordon to complete her Food and Beverage Service Youth Apprenticeship program. Lorraine Sweet completed her 2nd year of Apprenticeship as a CNA at Hammond Health Services.


Lane Jorgensen and Kelsey Reed completed the Food and Beverage Services Youth Apprenticeship Program. Lane worked as a crew trainer at McDonalds/Courtesy Corporation to earn the certification. Kelsey completed her apprenticeship at Milwaukee Burger Company.


Thank you to Noble X/Hudson Machine and Tool for mentoring Brock Thorsen in the Youth Apprenticeship program for the past 2 years. Brock completed over 900 hours of an apprenticeship to earn the Manufacturing/Machining pathway certification.

Congratulations to Steven Goossens and Zachary Davis for completing the Youth Apprenticeship Certification through the Department of Workforce Development. Steven received industry recognized certification in the Marketing/Merchandising pathway while Zachary was certified in the Logistics/Supply Chain Management pathway.

Ava Owens completed her Food and Beverage Service Youth Apprenticeship pathway certification with Buddy's Bakery. All Youth Apprenticeship students at SCC also complete the Employability Skills certification and the Youth Leadership credential through DPI.

Congratulations to Emma Hannan and Laina Rubis for completing the Youth Apprenticeship program. Both students worked a minimum of 450 hours and had two related courses of instruction in their industry area. Emma completed her apprenticeship in the Professional Sales Pathway while Laina completed her apprenticeship in the Banking pathway.


Thank you to Harmony Moua for bringing in her uncle, Ge Moua, from the Minnesota Department of Health to talk to the 3rd hour junior Futures class about the career of a Radiologic Technologist.
