Classroom guidance is an integral piece of the overall curriculum. Classroom guidance involves structured lessons developed from state and national standards to help students achieve desired levels of knowledge and skills. Lessons are preventive in nature and support students’ academic, personal/social, and career development. Lessons are taught through stories and books, role-play, discussions, games, and other activities. Classroom guidance themes for this year include: Academic Success, Transitions, Communication/Social Skills, Self-Knowledge and Management, Character Education, Careers, Safety, and Diversity.
