6th graders participated in #beaniesfornat in which they created mini beanies in exchange for actual, “Love Your Melon” brand beanies. The mini beanies are being collected to create a surprise project for Nathalia, a 12- year old girl battling cancer. Sixth graders received 50 authentic beanies in return, all of which are being donated to the local Holiday Angels.

Can you guess it before the end? https://youtu.be/MW9rC4v6vHg

They chose from traditional phrases to decorate their hearts, such as “Ich liebe dich!” meaning “I love you” to “Frohe Weihnachten!” meaning “Merry Christmas!”

Congratulations to the MS winners of our 1st trimester One School One Book Program! These students (plus MANY more) read the book "Odd, Weird, and Little" 1st trimester and submitted a review of the book in Destiny Discover. The lucky winners pictured here were randomly selected and each received a Visa gift card. Kudos to all of you and keep reading!
Nikolaustag bei St Croix Central Middle Schule! St Nick visited the German students at the middle school! 🍬 In Germany, children stick their shoes outside the evening of December 5th so that St Nick will fill their shoes with sweet treats and small toys. This is also a tradition that many Wisconsin families celebrate as well!

Finding a good book can be hard, but for these 5th grade students they had a little fun "tasting" some different genres of books to see if one would satisfy their reading appetite. They moved from table to table, each with its own genre, filling out what they thought about their appetizer, main course, and dessert book. Anything that they found especially tasty could be checked out at the end of class, just in time for the Thanksgiving break. Happy reading!

All of our school offices will be handling the money and forms (thank you office staff!) $15, cash or check written to "SCC MVP" When they run out of signs, they will be asking you to fill out a form with payment. With the fall sports season upon us, we wanted to remind everyone that all #sccspirit football games & all home volleyball matches will be streamed. Cross country will not as our broadcaster isn’t as fast as our students! Our goal as always will be to bring you all playoff games. All sports will be streamed on YouTube Live via the SCC YouTube channel available at youtube.com/stcroixcentralschooldistrict . Streams should show up near the top of the channel page. There may be some growing pains as we figure out how to best bring the streams to YouTube. Go subscribe now so you can be notified when a stream is upcoming! Please SHARE this change with family and friends as we will be up and running this Friday as the football team takes on Durand at home! If you have any questions, please comment below or email me at bmillar[at]scc.k12.wi.us.
