School and Community:

St. Croix Central is a comprehensive high school, built in 2000.  The current 9 – 12 grade enrollment is 405.  The school serves a rapidly growing area just thirty minutes East  of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Course Offerings:

Over 130 required and elective classes are currently offered to our students, thirty in vocational areas.

All science classes include laboratory experience.  Advance Placement is offered in Literature, Environmental Science, Calculus, Comparative Government, European History, Psychology and U.S. History.  Students self-select honor classes, with final approval from the course instructor.  Post-secondary enrollment options are available to junior and seniors, by application, at both local universities and technical colleges.

Class Rank:

All required and elective courses are used to compute class rank.  All students that physically attend St. Croix Central are included in class rank.

Marking System:

Students attend a traditional class schedule format of 6 to 7 classes per day.  Students receive two-quarter grades per semester.  The semester grade is an accumulative average of the quarter grades, which is then recorded on their transcript.  Traditional letter grades are used on a 4-point value system.  St. Croix Central does not use weighted grades.  In November of 2010, St. Croix Central High School converted its GPA to a 4.0 scale.  An “A+” and an “A” are both worth 4 points.
