My name is John Tackmann and this will be my 8th year as a High School Science Educator at Saint Croix Central.  I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Life Science Education and Ecology from Winona State University in 2007 and was a member of the Winona State Football team from 2002 to 2007. In May of 2011 I received my Masters Degree in Education and Learning from St. Mary's University and still enjoy taking classes to improve my ability as an educator.

My wife, Aubrey and I are parents to our three beautiful children Kendall, Brody and Nora.  With them we love spending time outside doing a variety of outdoor activities such as fishing, camping,  and hiking.  When I'm not spending time with my my family I enjoy hunting whitetail deer every fall and love spending Friday nights in the fall coaching SCC football.  In the spring I enjoy coaching our SCC Varsity Track and Field teams and love spending time out on the St. Croix River with my family each spring and summer.

I am passionate about the outdoors as well as teaching science education.  If you have any questions, comments or concerns, feel free to contact me.
