Book Fair

happy camper book fair

Reading for pleasure unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are. They become better critical thinkers, have more empathy, and can explore worlds beyond our little corner of Wisconsin.

Our Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits.

Student Preview Day -- All students will have the opportunity to preview the fair on February 28.

Student Shopping -- Students can bring money and shop during their library or computer classes on March 1-3 (see 2nd page of this letter for schedule). Students will not be able to shop before or after school unless accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Parent Shopping -- Parents can shop online (larger selection and free shipping!) and after school on March 2 from 3-7pm. The times on March 2 coincide with Dr. Seuss night activities.

Online Shopping -- If you are unable to attend the Fair in person, we invite you to visit our online Book Fair at scholastic.com/fair. Our online fair is available from February 26 - March 6. Items purchased online still benefit our school. Online orders will be shipped to SCC for free and delivered to students shortly after March 6.

To promote reading among all our students, we are running a coloring contest for students to participate in. Five winners in each grade will receive a free book from the book fair. Students can fill out one of two different coloring sheets and return it to the library by Feb 28. Find the coloring sheets at goo.gl/fpIRaa

We look forward to seeing you and your family at our Book Fair! Remember, all purchases benefit our school. If you have any questions, please contact our library media specialist Amanda Olson.

Parent - Teacher Conferences

conferences

St. Croix Central Elementary School spring conferences will be held similar to the way the fall conferences were held.  The window will run from March 6-17th.  Please be watching for communication from your child’s homeroom teacher on how to set up the style of conference that works best for you and your family.

The three types of conferences to choose from will be:
-   Face-to-face
-   Email
-   Phone Conference

**Specialists and Special Education Staff will be at school on March 7th and March 16th from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm if you would like to meet with them face-to-face.

Communication is a key factor to the success of all children.  Therefore, we find it imperative for you and your child’s teacher to find time to communicate during this time frame and throughout the course of the school year.
