St. Croix Central High School
Dear Families and Students of SCC High School and Virtual Charter,
The 2018-19 school year is fast approaching and we have several new and exciting opportunities taking shape. One of those opportunities is our freshmen and new student orientation called “Panther 101”. Last year was our inauguration of the program and its intent was to help facilitate an easier transition for incoming students. This year we are extending the program to make orientation more accessible to all freshmen, as well as make a more impactful start to the year by holding it on day one of the school year. The program utilizes evidence based practices resulting in a positive school climate, empowering student leadership, and provides a platform for connection.
Tuesday, September 4th is designated as "DAY ONE" and will operate like a normal school day 8:05-3:25. This day will be set aside as an orientation day for incoming freshmen and other new students (i.e transfer and foreign exchange) only.
10th through 12th-grade students will begin on Wednesday, September 5, 2018. We ask any students other than freshmen and transfer/exchange students to stay out of the high school building on Tuesday, September 4th between the hours of 7:30 am and 3:25 pm.
Because the orientation is held on the first day of school, normal bus routes will be available. The school is open each day at 6:00am for those who need to drop their student off before work.
We thank you for helping us make a positive impact on all students at St. Croix Central High School and we look forward to seeing you in the fall!
